Introducing LAB-01
LAB-01 is a 3D resin printer exclusively designed for footwear printing, conceived as an innovative solution to optimize manufacturing in the footwear design industry. This conceptual model is developed with a focus on efficiency, offering advanced capabilities for both custom and mass production of footwear.

3D Resin Printer LAB-01
Is Its resin technology allows for greater precision and detail in each print, making it ideal for reproducing complex textures and ergonomic shapes that ensure both aesthetic design and functional performance in footwear. LAB 01 features an optimized printing system capable of handling flexible and durable materials, which is key to producing high-quality shoes, particularly fully 3D-printed footwear.
Designed with an intuitive interface, this printer is equipped with custom software that allows for 3D previews of models before printing, and its high-speed printing capability significantly reduces production times. Additionally, its modular design facilitates easy maintenance and component upgrades.

The LAB 01 3D printer is specifically designed for footwear printing using resin technology. Its printing capacity allows for the creation of objects with maximum dimensions of 40 cm in height, 30 cm in width, and 20 cm in depth, offering high precision in detail. Compatible with flexible and durable resins, the LAB 01 features an optimized high-speed system for efficient production, an intuitive interface with 3D preview, and connectivity via Wi-Fi, USB, and Ethernet. Concept and Design of the X-PACE
The X-PACE for SpaceX is the first 3D-printed footwear designed for space missions, created to provide comfort and style without the need for pressurization inside spacecraft and space stations. Its minimalist, laceless design makes it easy to put on and take off, ideal for the space environment where every second counts and simplicity is key. Inspired by the interplanetary future envisioned by SpaceX, its design takes cues from the Opportunity rover, with its wheel system and grip patterns reinterpreted in the sole of the X-PACE to offer optimal support on various surfaces. Its organic and futuristic appearance embodies the spirit of MURCIELACO, merging aesthetics and functionality with the sophistication of modern spacecraft elements, resulting in a product that is not only functional but also reflects the aesthetics of an advanced space age.

Our Vision of an Interplanetary Future
At MURCIELACO, we share SpaceX’s vision of interplanetary societies, envisioning a future in space where fashion and technology coexist and converge in garments that have a direct impact on the quality of life of future societies. We foresee a world where 3D printing plays a fundamental role, transforming the way everyday objects are produced and distributed.
We envision a future where spacecraft will be equipped with 3D printers capable of manufacturing any type of garment or accessory needed, adapting to the circumstances faced by their crew. We believe that in the future, 3D printing will be a fundamental tool in space, allowing spacecraft to have their own production workshop. We imagine a future where, in case of an emergency, crew members will be able to print necessary objects—such as eyeglass frames, tools, or even footwear—directly on the ship from 3D files sent from Earth. This would enable designers on Earth to quickly provide customized physical solutions by sending digital files that can be printed directly in space.
Our vision is to facilitate a safer and more comfortable exploration experience, where each crew member has access to the necessary tools and garments, produced immediately and sustainably. In this sense, fashion and design will no longer be just a matter of style, but also a vital tool to improve the quality of life in an interplanetary context.
A Step Towards the Future
Interestingly, humanity’s first contact with the surface of another planet is through the feet. When Neil Armstrong descended from the lunar module and stepped onto the Moon’s surface, he uttered the words that would mark history: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” At that moment, his feet were not only touching unknown ground but also the future.
The feet are the first physical connection that humans have when exploring a new world. Each step represents a historic moment and an act of conquest, a declaration of our presence on that unfamiliar terrain.
